CEFRES
CEFRES, French Institute for Research in Social Sciences, is a research institute under the authority of the Department for Scientific, Academic and Research Cooperation of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (Directorate General for International Co-operation and Development). Its main purpose is to develop research networks in the Czech Republic and Central Europe, and it fulfils the role of intermediary between French and Central European university and research circles in the field of the humanities and social sciences.
A brochure is available giving a fuller description of CEFRES in French and in Czech.
The programme offered by CEFRES is essentially based on the organisation of conferences, seminars, and round tables, which enable French, Czech, and other European researchers to present their work and to enter into a debate on it.
These events are held on our premises or those of our partners. The documentation we have available and the regular use of interpreters enables all those who are involved in the debate to take part in these events, even if they cannot speak French.
CEFRES regularly publishes the research work of its researchers.
The chercheurs du CEFRES are regularly called on to present their research work during internal seminars.
